Celebrate a Birthday at Disney World

Tips, tricks, and insider know-how to make your kid's Disney birthday unforgettable.

The Happy Birthday Button

This is the single best free thing you can do for a Disney birthday. As soon as you walk through the gates, head straight to Guest Relations and ask for a Happy Birthday celebration button. Write your child's name on it in big, clear letters and then watch the magic happen. Cast Members throughout every park are trained to look for these buttons. They'll call your child by name, wish them a heartfelt Happy Birthday, and go out of their way to make them feel like royalty. Even better? Speaking characters like Mickey, Goofy, and Cinderella will read the button and work it right into their interactions. It's one of those small Disney touches that turns a good day into a story your family tells for years.
